Embed your iorad into a slide presentation

Are you looking to embed an iorad tutorial into a PowerPoint or Google Slide presentation?

When you share a presentation with your learners, you want them to have the most efficient way to access all of their resources in one spot. That's why it would be great if the tutorials you wanted to include could be embedded directly in the presentation itself.

Unfortunately, it's not possible out-of-the-box in either PowerPoint or Google Slides presentation software.

However, there is a workaround for Microsoft PowerPoint. As for Google Slides, we offer some options for embedding.

Embed in PowerPoint

Copy the URL of the tutorial you want to embed.
Download the free trial of iSpring Converter Pro.
Open PowerPoint and click the iSpring Converter Pro 9 tab.
Choose the Web Object button on the toolbar.

Then simply paste the copied URL in the open window.

As for embedding within Google Slides...

Unfortunately, Google limits the use of an iframe; however, you can insert YouTube videos, MP4 files, images, & GIFs.

What you can do is upload an MP4 or hyperlink an image or GIF within your presentation.

You could also use a screenshot of the tutorial cover as your image or design an image of your own.

To create a GIF you can export the tutorial as an MP4 and then use EZgif.com to generate a GIF to hyperlink to the interactive tutorial.

3. iorad tutorials are awesome for the ability to capture once & automatically produce multiple outputs in the HTML player. Sometimes its not possible to embed an iframe and it might be beneficial to use an animated image for quick viewing.

4. It's been proven that users greatly appreciate an interactive experience; however, in some scenarios GIFs work just as well for simpler processes.

5. Maybe you have already created an iorad or a number of iorads that you'd like to share via email but don't have an easy way to embed them.
In addition to hyperlinking, consider inserting an iorad GIF…or maybe even two or three.

6. When using a chat tool such as Intercom or Drift, you are limited to the media types that you can include in a chat message, email, etc. Other than hyperlinking text or an image to the tutorial, that's all you can do.
This is great time to use a GIF.

7. Many help sites include GIFs; though, it may not make sense to overuse GIFs if you're an iorad user. This is one of the biggest benefits to using the HTML player; just update the tutorial once, & it applies everywhere it's been embedded.

8. Nevertheless, utilizing a few GIFs on a landing page or overview page might add some value.

To avoid the need to download & update GIFs, consider using our Watch it video mode if you have the ability to embed the iorad player.

9. Another common place users wish to insert an iorad tutorial is within a PowerPoint or Google Slide Presentation.
Yet again, these do not allow iFrames, just videos or images. This is another example when to export & insert a video or GIF instead.

10. Using iorad it is super easy to create & update GIFs. Otherwise, you'd have to reset the scene, use a screen recording tool to capture your screen, and export & upload the video to a GIF service each time.

11. Oh, and another cool thing to note is that you can choose if you'd like the entire screenshot showing or if you'd like the instruction panel to show on the right side.
Just be sure to uncheck the "step text" option prior to exporting the video.

- Export iorad to .mp4 video file*
- Upload to a GIF site of choice (Try ezgif.com)
- Export GIF
