23 STEPS

1. The first step is to open Google Slides and click Slide

2. Click Edit master

3. Click on a master slide to edit. I selected the blank slide.

4. To add a background image:

Click Insert

5. With your mouse, hover Image

6. Click Search the web or select something from your computer/drive etc.

7. In the Search for Images box type Search terms and Press Enter

8. Click on image you would like to use

9. Click INSERT

10. Click on image in slide to select

11. With your mouse, click and drag image to resize and relocate.

11b. Drop

12. To add fields to type into later:

Click Insert placeholder

13. Click Body text placeholder

14. With your mouse, click and drag to form box.

14b. Drop

15. Repeat placeholder command for other areas that you will later use as text boxes.

16. To name your new layout:

Click Rename

17. Type new layout name:

18. Click OK

19. To exit out of editing Master slides:

Click in the slide preview area

20. To use your custom layout:

Click Format

21. With your mouse, hover Apply layout

22. Click new slide layout

23. That's it. You're done.
